MAIL: Adding Your MAIL Settings

In this article we will update your MAIL settings to send from your domain.

Our system allows you to use any smtp platform, using the SMTP protocol information.

It's varied per platform, so we will cover the 2 main ones, MAILGUN and SENDGRID here. If you have another and can't get it to work, reach out on the chat widget in your admin dashboard and we can help you out.

To get started, open up your /admin/settings and click on the MAIL tab here: https://prnt.sc/tkj6uk

MAILGUN:

You will need your SMTP credentials from mailgun here:

If you haven't got the password, you may need to create a new set of credentials.

Take your SMTP Login (username) and password and head back to your site.

MAIL DRIVER: smtp
MAIL HOST: smtp.mailgun.org
MAIL PORT: 25
MAIL USERNAME: postmaster@mg..... (See above)
MAIL PASSWORD: (See above)
MAIL ENCRYPTION: tls


SENDGRID:

You will need your Sendgrid username and password.

Take your SMTP Login (username) and password and head back to your site.

MAIL DRIVER: smtp
MAIL HOST: smtp.sendgrid.net
MAIL PORT: 465
MAIL USERNAME: apikey
MAIL PASSWORD: your sendgrid password
MAIL ENCRYPTION: ssl

* Yes, the Mail Username is actually the word "apikey" without the ". This is a recent change from Sendgrid.


TESTING YOUR SETTINGS:

To check your sending and receiving on the support email, we have added a TEST CONNECTION SETTINGS button that will send you a test email address to your From Email here: https://prnt.sc/u0dijs

To test your new credentials and setup, go to "yoursite.com"/login and click on the FORGOT PASSWORD https://prnt.sc/tkj5j4

Use your email address for your user (must be existing user) and click the "Send Password Reset Link" https://prnt.sc/tkj5uf

You should see a message stating the password is reset: https://prnt.sc/tkj657. If you receive a 500 Error, you have missed one of the settings or the password is incorrect. If you are still having issues, hit the chat icon in the admin and we can help you.


Settings:

You can set your LOGO in the from emails by uploading here

You can adjust the copy on the PASSWORD RESET, SIGN UP REGISTRATION, and ONBOARD FORM COMPLETION (Step 2 in the 3 Step onboard screen - the GHL Setup form) and the CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION.

To get notified of cancellations, make sure you update this setting.
